Fall in Beaufort, SC lends itself perfectly to romantic breezes, fireside photos, and the gorgeous reds and oranges of a changing season. When you choose a micro -wedding in the Lowcountry, there are myriad benefits. Below you will find our top five reasons to plan a micro wedding in Beaufort this fall.
Downtown Beaufort Marina
Have it your way
Save yourself from the stress of seemingly unmanageable A B, and C lists. When you opt for a micro wedding, you invite only the “non-negotiable” loved ones in your life, not anyone you thought you “had to” invite. Inviting only an intimate group of people also means you can choose from more venue options: think gardens, porches, grand staircases, the possibilities really open up with a shorter guest list. At the Cuthbert House Inn, we have several photo-ready backdrops to choose from. From our front lawn, use the house itself as the backdrop, or turn the other way and use the water view. Our beautiful Charleston-style courtyard with its burbling fountains lends itself to intimacy, as the moss-draped, giant old oak tree sways overhead. Later in the season, a fireside ceremony in the Rose parlor can be gorgeous.
Save Money
This may seem obvious, but wedding costs really add up quickly. Catering, decorations, stationary, favors, venue fees, attire, and other vendors for a large guest list can break the budget for many couples. When you choose to go “micro,” you can save thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars. The ability to choose smaller, intimate and more affordable venues allows you to set aside that money for the dress of your dreams, the honeymoon, or things you and your future life partner need for your home.
Quality over quantity
Think quality products and quality time. Swap the 150+ favors and open bar for your dream gown and a bottle of Dom Perignon. With a micro wedding you can expect the red carpet treatment from the vendors you choose, as fewer people means more focus on you and your small group of guests. Spend meaningful time with each and every person you invite and create beautiful lasting memories.
Slow down in the Lowcountry
Spend time with the people you love most and ditch the tight schedules, receiving lines, missing meals, and the general feeling of being rushed that many couples experience on their wedding day. A micro wedding means that time is spread less thin, and couples can truly enjoy conversing and eating with friends and family. Blink and your perfect day is over, but micro weddings provide a nice slow blink.
Start the Honeymoon Early
If you dreamed of a destination wedding or honeymoon, a micro wedding can help make that a reality. A fall wedding in Beaufort guarantees gorgeous weather, incredible views, and proximity to some of the most charming cities in the South: Charleston, Hilton Head Island, and Savannah. Take some time after your wedding to enjoy these romantic stops for a perfect beginning to a beautiful marriage.
