Weddings at the Cuthbert House Inn

When you live and work in paradise it’s hard to pick the best season for a wedding. Spring and summer evoke images of luscious blooms and romantic breezes while fall and winter lend themselves perfectly to fireside photos and the gorgeous reds and oranges of a changing season. Whenever you choose to get married, the Lowcountry is the perfect backdrop, and we would love to host you at the Cuthbert House Inn.

Microweddings

While we have long offered elopement packages, the growing popularity  of microweddings over the past year has inspired the Cuthbert House Inn to offer several new ceremony and reception locations. A micro wedding is an intimate affair– we can host up to fifteen guests in addition to the bridal couple. Unlike an elopement, a micro-wedding features time-honored traditions that make a wedding, but on a much smaller scale; it’s an opportunity to do something special on your own terms.  Our inn lends itself beautifully to a more intimate ceremony. Bridal Preparations

Our luxurious and historic rooms make for a beautiful backdrop while dressing and otherwise getting ready on the morning of your big day.  We offer early (12:00) day-of check-in for the bridal couple, or, stay the night before and have the entire morning for your preparations. With our All-inclusive Weekday Wedding package, you will have the choice of any of our rooms or suites for two nights. Add more nights at the regular rate if you wish. The most popular rooms for our bridal couples are the Mariner Suite and the Eastlake Suite because they are most spacious. Plenty of room for toasting with your bridesmaids!

Location: Front Lawn 

If you imagine a backdrop of the bay with the sailboats bobbing at their moorings as you say your vows, our Front Lawn is an ideal choice. With plenty of space for guests or just the two of you and a pleasant bay breeze, we know why so many couples choose this spot!

Location: Courtyard

An idyllic choice for an outdoor spring celebration can be found under the huge, moss-draped live oak in our formal Charleston-style courtyard.  A lively fountain splashes nearby in this private oasis surrounded by greenery and seasonal blooms. Think March for the azaleas

Location: Porches and Balconies

Another great option for elopements and smaller parties, enjoy the view of the bay from the deck of either our grand front porch or private balcony.

Reception

Whether it is just the two of you or you have several guests, enjoy a champagne toast and cake in the parlor, both included in our bridal packages detailed below. While we do not host receptions here at the Cuthbert House, we assist many couples with reservations at one of the wonderful restaurants downtown. Our All-inclusive Package include a $100 restaurant gift card for you to use toward your wedding dinner. We would also like to share Sea Island Carriage Company for wedding themed carriage rides between venues.

Downtown Beaufort

Spend the rest of the afternoon taking pictures around the grounds or head out to find some beautiful photo opportunities around the stunning Lowcountry landscape. Dinner in one of Beaufort’s fine restaurants will be the culmination to a beautiful day! For your evening meal, we highly recommend Saltus River Grill to mark the occasion. 

Wedding Packages

Ready to book? We offer two customizable wedding packages to get you started!  Our Basic Bridal Couple Package includes, early check-in on the day of your ceremony, your ceremony space of choice, a small cake – size appropriate to the number of guests; a champagne toast; a dozen roses for your room; and several Cuthbert House Inn souvenirs. If you would like, we can organize your dinner by making reservations or getting you a gift certificate ahead of time for a local restaurant of choice.

Our All-inclusive Elopement Package includes everything in the Basic Bridal package plus a two night stay in a romantic king room/suite with a water view, a coordinated one-hour photography session, an officiant for your ceremony, and a $100 gift card and reservations to a local restaurant of your choice.
