All About the Beaufort Boat Parade
When you attend the Beaufort Boat Parade, you’ll gaze at holiday lights in a whole new way. Each December, several Beaufortonians show their holiday spirit and participate in the parade. Even more locals and visitors flock to the town to view the parade. Cash prizes are awarded for the most impressive boats, so the boaters really go all out. If there’s somewhere on a ship where lights can be affixed, they are.
Where’s the Event
The Beaufort Boat Parade starts at the Port Royal Landing Marina and makes its way along the Beaufort River. When it reaches Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park, this is where the real show is. Boats pass along the park’s seawall and dish out Christmas cheer to the crowd. Between the strings of lights, uniquely lit up figurines, and costumed boaters, this is a sight to see.Â
The Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park park spans many acres and has many beautiful features, such as views of the Intra-Coastal Waterway, palmetto trees, and ample green space. Also, many annual events are held here, including the Water Festival, Taste of Beaufort, and the Shrimp Festival. Whatever reason you have to spend time at this park, you’ll feel closer to the nature of Beaufort! When you plan your holiday getaway with us at The Cuthbert House Inn, you’ll be a short 3-minute walk from this picturesque riverfront park.Â
