Saltus River Grill is one of our favorite seafood restaurants in downtown Beaufort that’s also located by the iconic Henry C. Chambers  Waterfront Park. Not only do they offer fresh oysters on their raw bar, but they’re also known for their delectable, hand-rolled sushi. Or, for a heartier meal, you can’t go wrong with the wood-fired dorado. The airy atmosphere of the restaurant matches perfectly with their light and fresh bites! Sample soup and salad combos, mouth-watering sandwiches like the Ooey Gooey stuffed with pimento cheese, bacon, and garlic pepper jelly. Of course, you can’t leave until you try one of their southern desserts like key lime pie. You have to add this restaurant to your Beaufort, SC, itinerary!

Have lunch in a relaxed, but upscale establishment like Breakwater Restaurant and Bar. There’s nothing better than a savory helping of their buttery shrimp and grits with tasso ham gravy. Or, if you’re really hungry, go for the fantastic fried chicken entree that comes with a side of mashed potatoes and traditional gravy. However, it’s important to note that their menu is seasonal since they use the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients right here from Beaufort, SC!
