More About the Beaufort International Film Festival 2019
The Beaufort Film Festival 2019 is scheduled to take place February 19th-24th and is quickly shaping up to be the festival’s best year yet! Now in its 13th year, the festival continues in its mission to enliven the community by fostering and developing a rich appreciation for the art of filmmaking. It is also a place for aspiring filmmakers to present their best work and possibly get “discovered.” Since its inception, the festival has welcomed hundreds of filmmakers and thousands upon thousands of attendees from 31 states and four countries!
2019 attendees can look forward to a wide variety of incredible films including independent movies, musicals, animation, documentaries, and much more. After watching your favorite movies, you’ll also be invited to converse with and ask the filmmaker questions about their project. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the art of film in the very place major productions such as “Forrest Gump,” “Big Chili,” and “Prince of Tides” were filmed.
Awards at the Beaufort International Film Festival

While finalists for the 2019 Beaufort International Film Festival will not be announced until December 15th, 2018, some nominees have already been selected for awards!
Paul Sorvino, a famed actor, author, opera singer, and sculptor will be honored with the Career Achievement in Film and Television Award.
A Charleston, SC-based hairstylist and makeup artist by the name of Joyce Gilliard will also be honored at the festival with the Behind The Scenes Award.
