John Verdier House

The John Mark Verdier House provides a glimpse into the beauty and lifestyle of 19th-century Beaufort. A tour of this stunning home allows you to see the home’s intricate designs, original hardwood floors, and a number of exhibits on display. One of the most iconic collections is the “Diorama of 1863 Bay Street.” The display features a scaled model of Beaufort’s National Historic Landmark District with 42 original structures, many of which have been lost over time. Fall Festival of Houses

During the Fall Festival of Houses and Gardens, you can explore a selection of private homes not normally open to the public.
