Meet the Owners
After nine years of owning and successfully running Cuthbert House Inn in Beaufort, SC, our corporate life seems a distant memory. Both Jeff and Mary Ann have a special attachment to this historic B&B. We have touched every aspect (or clapboard) and have felt satisfyingly comfortable in its skin. Jeff has taken his woodworking skills and eye for design and applied it with love to a number of improvements and repairs. Mary Ann has taken her flair for decorating and given so many perfect touches to the inn. We have found this experience gratifying, both as stewards of the house and inn, and also through all the interesting people we have met, remembered and sometimes forgotten (aging as it were).
No grass is growing under Mary Ann’s feet with her spare time. She has become an active member of the community by supporting a number of film and tourism related organizations as a board member and as an organizer of a Dragon Boat team in support of cancer survivors. She is a breast cancer survivor herself. Mary Ann is a licensed, active real estate agent that works as a buyer’s agent.Jeff has served on a number of tourism committees, boards and projects and is presently a member of the Beaufort County Accommodation Tax board. That group recommends purposeful expenditures of tax dollars collected for use in the support of tourism.
Jeff and Mary Ann are proud new grandparents.
The highlight of our day is the social hour, hosting many well-traveled and interesting guests, and Jeff and Mary Ann have developed a very long bucket list. A trip to Southern France and a few trips in the US are at the top of the queue.
We invite you to come enjoy this beautiful house and share your travel stories with us and our other guests!
