Southbound

From I-95: Take exit 33 (US 17 north) and follow signs to Charleston. At Gardens Corner (app. 8 miles), bear right on US 21 South to Beaufort. Follow US 21 into Beaufort (becomes Boundary Street). When the Government Center is on your right, continue straight on Business 21.

From Charleston, SC: Take US 17 south (Old Savannah Hwy) approximately 53 miles until reaching Gardens Corner. Turn left onto US 21 South to Beaufort. Follow US 21 into Beaufort (becomes Boundary Street). When the Government Center is on your right, continue straight on Business 21.

Northbound

From I-95: Take exit 8 (toward Hilton Head Island). Go approximately 8 miles and then exit to SC 170. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto SC 170 toward Beaufort. Stay on Hwy 170 for app. 22 miles into Beaufort. Hwy 170 ends at a major intersection with US 21 (locally known as "fast food corner"). Turn right onto US 21 (Boundary Street). When the Government Center is on your right, continue straight on Business 21.

From Savannah, GA: Take US 17 north across the high bridge (Talmadge Bridge). Turn right onto SC 170-Alternate (approximately 4 miles) toward Beaufort. After approximately 10 miles look for a left turn to Beaufort (SC 170). Stay on SC 170 all the way into Beaufort (approximately 20 miles). SC 170 ends at a major intersection with US 21 (locally known as "fast food corner"). Turn right onto US 21 (Boundary Street). When the Government Center is on your right, continue straight on Business 21.

Once In Beaufort

As Boundary Street turns right onto Carteret Street, you will see the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce's Visitor's Welcome Center on your right. If you come into town before check-in time (3:30 PM), the Visitor's Center can provide you maps and tickets for carriage tours, self-paced audiotape tours and boat tours. To reach the Inn, return to Carteret Street turning to the right. On Carteret Street turn right at the first traffic light onto Craven Street and go until it ends. The Inn is right in front of you. Turn right onto Church Street and left into the first driveway which leads into the parking lot behind the Inn.

To enter the Inn, proceed through the courtyard and up the steps to the rear entrance. Ring the bell and someone will be with you shortly.
